We finally straightened out the Soul Singers and their love life gone wrong scandals and who got scalded by hot grits controversy
Turned out that
Al Green was scalded by boiling grits from a jealous married girlfriend (upset because he wouldn't marry her) who then shot & killed herself
Sam Cooke - shot and killed at an LA motel (no grits involved)
Teddy Pendergrass - paralyzed after crashing his Rolls with (different versions of who was in car so will not say here) into a tree. (probably no grits involved)
